LHCb: A Large Hadron Collider Beauty Experiment for Precision
Measurements of CP-Violation and Rare Decays
The LHCb experiment is the forward arm spectrometer at the LHC.
It is a optimised precision measurements
of CP violation and rare decays in the b quark sector.
Recent experimental results have shown that CP violation
is large in this sector.

Physics Coordination

I was the LHCb Physics coordinator (2014-15).
The Physics Coordinator coordinates the analysis efforts in order to ensure the best
possible physics data quality and physics output.

Controlling QCD Penguin contributions
|
I collaborate with Kristof De Bruyn and Robert Fleischer on the channel
Bs→J/ψKS which is (weakly) sensitive to γ and is a control
for penguin effects affecting the measurement of β in Bd→J/ψKS.
We recently measured the CP asymmetries.

Electroweak Penguin Decays

I am participating in the analysis of rare semileptonic decays,
in particular B → K*μμ and B → Kll.
The measurement of a deviation from unity in the ratio of branching fractions of B → Kμμ and B → Kee triggered a lot of interest.

I am proud to be have been the first to report the observation of the very rare decay B → μμK at LHCb
with 37 pb-1.
